How Old Do You Have to Be to Work at Waffle House?

Waffle House generally hires from age 16. Restaurants are open 24 hours, and overnight shifts are limited to workers 18 and older in most states.

Federal law limits workers aged 14 and 15 to 3 hours on a school day and 18 hours in a school week, with no work after 7 PM during the school year, and some states add a work-permit requirement. That is why many restaurants only hire from 16 even where younger workers are allowed.
